Training a dog can be a very fun and enjoyable experience both for the dog and the owner. But there are times when the owner mistakenly commit gestures which offends the dog in some way. here some of the tips to remember when you are trying to train your dog:

1. Never hit your dog when your mad or angry. Violence does no good and will only create trauma to the dog. This will eventually lead to fear and misbehavior of the dog.

2. Never shout a positive word at him. For example you became mad and shouted “Come here you dumb dog!” the key phrase “come here” is supposed to be a positive word used to call his attention. If you used it for disciplining purposes, he might as well ignore it the next time around.

3. Discipline a dog when you caught him or her on the act. Otherwise he will not understand why he is discplined.

4. Use a reward system. Vary your rewards so your dog will always be interested in every trick you teach.

5. Always have a playful attitude. Be patient and kind. You must understand that dogs don’t understand our language, so no matter what you say or even you curse at him in gentle tone, he will never understand you. What he understands is your tone and gestures.

And above all, be creative and fun. make every moment happy and enjoyable for the two of you. After all, your sole purpose of training your dog is to be entertained.
